An awful lot has been said about Hendra virus over the past few months and years, but to date the news has not been positive, but mostly about more outbreaks, deaths, uncertainty and fear. According to Biosecurity Queensland, every animal that tests positive will be put down, even if it looks like getting over it. Their policy seems to be “if in doubt, chuck it out”.

Hendra Virus Vector
Hendra virus is a relatively rare condition and is a notifiable disease, so if you suspect that an animal is affected you are obliged to contact your local vet, who will then contact Biosecurity Queensland. Hendra virus, as current understanding goes, is transmissable from horses to humans via contact with body fluids, i.e. saliva, mucus, blood, urine etc., so caution to avoid this should provide adequate protection for yourself.
There is a ray of sunshine. In my experience, as a Chiropractor and Equine Specialist, over the past nearly 30 years I have learnt a lot about the nature of “disease” and how to deal with it. One of the first things we must acknowledge is that we can’t poison ourselves to health. We must be very careful, in our enthusiasm, not to create a new problem or a worse problem.
As I learn more and more I find I can use less ans less to make a positive change. Samuel Hahnemann discovered this concept over 200 years ago as he developed the principles of homeopathy. In saying this we have had a great deal of success with “energetic remedies”; clearing snake-bite in dogs and Parvo virus in pups as a couple of examples.
Untried at this stage I am producing “energetic Hendra virus remedies” for those people who wish to safeguard their valuable horses. The principle is to alert the body’s immune system to the possible contact with the virus so it is able to respond appropriately. Due to the nature of these preparations there is no risk of a negative reaction and every chance of a safe and positive outcome.
Adequate instructions for the use and care of these remedies are provided with the preparations.
I acknowledge the severity and risk associated with Hendra and my motive is to be proactive rather than reactive, and save a lot of lives.
